About Us

The Prospector is a student run, student produced online newspaper based out of Park City High School. Our goal is to provide our school and surrounding community with accurate news reports, sports updates, opinions, and feature pieces.

The Prospector has competed in the Online Pacemaker competition since 2008. In 2011, The Prospector was awarded All-American Recognition, and received marks of distinction in 6 of 7 categories.

We yearly redesigning our website on the Drupal Content Management system. Drupal is the basis for our webpage, however it is customized to fit our needs by our student Web Master.

We are based out of Park City, Utah, the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics and home to “the greatest snow on earth.”
